The kitchen was kept simple, clean and light. The hood over the cook top was custom made and repeats the shape and feeling of the fireplace surrounds in the dining and living room. The counter tops and the wall surfaces up to the top of the cabinetry were clad with a rose, satin glazed tile and the island covered with functional, maple butcher block.
